Who We Are

Since 1954, the purpose of our sorority has been to guide the lives of our members by a cooperative spirit, to promote charity and an understanding of our fellow beings, and to maintain some social enjoyment. We aim at building lasting friendships of our members through the strong bonds of sisterhood and unity. We do not discriminate against race, creed, or culture.

The sisters of Delta Chi Omega have enjoyed many years of closeness not only among the sisters, but also with other Greek organizations. We pride ourselves on the fact that our members promote Greek unity and encourage participation in campus-wide activities from athletics to extracurriculars. Maintaining a strong alumni bond with our brother fraternity Kappa Sigma Epsilon is also of prime importance. Our Alpha Chapter is located in Alfred, NY and is a charted through Alfred State College while our Beta Chapter (currently inactive) is affiliated with the Community College of the Finger Lakes.

Community service has also been a key component of our organization. Over the years, the active sisters have physically and financially supported a wide variety of causes including the sponsorship of a two mile stretch of highway on the Southern Tier Expressway (Route 17) that is cleaned of debris.

Sisterhood is a lifetime commitment, one not to be entered into lightly. Strong, confident, self-aware, that's a Delta Chi Omega woman.

Our alumni are spanned out all over the United States and routinely keep in contact with one another through email, social media, social functions, and our Alumni Association.

Delta Chi is about people. It's about the sisters who are connected as friends for generations. It's about the women who work together to support each other and create meaningful relationships that add value to our lives.

Delta Chi is about sharing things important to us. It's about sharing our sisterhood with others and being proud of what we believe in.

Delta Chi is about commitment. It's about committing ourselves to each other and the ideals of Delta Chi Omega. Facing life's challenges and working together as sisters we learn to develop in each other great strengths and positive values. We share with each other cultural advantages and use new and emerging technologies to keep our members educated and poised for success.
